In a small picturesque courtyard, off Jaffa Road – Jerusalem's main high-street, hides "Barood": a very special bar-restaurant, with a rich bar, Sephardic-Jerusalemite cuisine, moderate prices and a unique atmosphere. If you want to spend a quiet hour with a "well-nursed" pint of Guinness, nibble some delicacies, taste genuine "pastelicos" and "albondigas" (we serve great steaks too…), or just meet interesting people while listening to quiet music – "Barood" is the place to visit.

MENU

 

In addition to our regular menu appears here, we daily add stews depending on the weather or our mood.

Such as- meatballs and spinach prepares in lemon sauce, rich beef stew prepares with leeks and prunes, sepharadic cusine of lamb with Jerusalem artichokes and fennel, 'albomdigas' (traditional sepharadic cuisine meat balls) prepared with aubergine, meatballs prepared in a fragrant leek and lemon sauce. Ox tall stew simmered over stow flame with root vegetables, meatballs with wine and prunes…and more.

All dishes are accompanied by rice with noodles and roasted almonds, or potato puree enriched with butter and cream.
